Finally!

eckhart tolle, a new earth, oprah, your life's purpose

Finally! I have finished this book that took me almost a full year to read! I first bought this book when Oprah raved about it on her show. It’s been years. When I started to read it back then, I just could not grasp the information so I sat it back on the shelf. In an effort to read all my unread books in my bookcase, I decided to give this one another shot and Im glad I did! I never would have imagined the change in me this book would help me make. It has to be the longest time I have ever spent with a book. I had to read a paragraph, re-read the paragraph, ponder the information for a few minutes, take it all in, process it and then keep reading. I just feel more at peace with myself and my journey in life. I have had quite a few life altering circumstances already this year. Along with prayer, I feel this book has helped me to check my ego, accept certain situations for what they are and instead focus on my evolvement on the type of person I want to be and the life I want to have for me and my daughter. Situations that would affect me  just don’t anymore and I get it now because those feelings would be coming from my ego and no where else. It’s so refreshing to just be able to put everything in perspective good or bad and keep moving. Also to enjoy the moments for what they are and not how you wish they were. This book goes so much deeper than I am able to ramble about…lol so, if you are looking for some self reflection (because it causes you to do that) or if you are looking for help with positive change I totally recommend you read this book.

Words

I’m a person that loves good, meaningful words. I love to be inspired by words. Some give you that little bit of encouragement you may need, others can make you stop for a moment and think, and some may just sum up everything you are verbally trying to say but can’t get out. Then, there are those that just tell you what you need to hear, good or bad, that a real life person would never have the courage to say to you. So on Fridays, while wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, I would like to leave you with a quote. Sometimes they may be funny, sometimes it may be on a more serious note. They may not affect you at all, but then you never know, they may be just the right words you need to hear at the moment. Have a wonderful and safe weekend!…PS…It’s Raining!!
