This weekend I went to spend some time with my parents. I realized that sometimes in life all you need to do is take in the little things that are happening around you to help you to realize life is good! Like….
Stopping at the light as a train goes by and realizing I couldn’t even remember the last time I saw a train and how amazing it looked. I think a train ride is in my future.
Watching my not so little baby girl who was mesmerized by these little live shrimp….they’re just shrimp!
Looking out at the Marina my Dad use to take my sister and me to when we were little and realizing how long ago that was and how I am now taking my daughter to the same place.
Spending quality grown women time with my Mom talking about grown up issues. When exactly did I become an adult!???
Lastly, and I have no picture ….. impulsively running through my parents sprinklers, Amaya and I, screaming at the top of my lungs like I was 12 again and not worrying about my hair getting wet! LOL… it was great! I think my Mom and Dad may have thought I lost my mind for a minute. Nope. In the end, sometimes it’s just the little things.
I had to share this picture I took with you guys real quick. When I saw this yacht it stopped me dead in my tracks..was that a helicopter I was seeing!! Not only was the yacht awesome on it’s own but it had a garsh darn helicopter to boot! Please, someone, tell me what I have to do to get to this level of fabulous!
I cannot imagine a better way to spend a gorgeous Sunday afternoon than with good company, good wine, good food and good Jazz! Sunday was the second day of the Playboy Jazz Festival and it was amazing! I only have a few pictures to share. As the sun started to set, it became less about taking pictures and more about dancing!
I’m really not much of a sports kind of gal, but I do love to watch live sports. There is something about being present in the midst of the action. This past weekend I took in an Anaheim Angels game. Between the Cowboys game I attended and this baseball game, I am officially spoiled! I do not think I can ever go to a game again without my own bathroom and fridge filled with beer! If you are ever near the Angels Stadium, stop by The Catch and try their delicious food. The rib sandwich below is one of the best foods I have ever tasted!! Shame on anyone who thinks a McRib from McDonalds is tasty. Ugh!! The whole menu sounds delicious and the food I saw them bring out got better and better each time.
I am officially spoiled!
Good game fellas!!
I thought I would leave you all for the weekend with what I find as wisdom in a nutshell. If only everyone just lived by these words.
Have a lovely, safe and peaceful weekend!
