Yes, three weeks later I am still trying to finish this lovely photo diary! Please don’t judge me. So, if you don’t mind and if you are still interested, I will just pick up where I left off three weeks ago . After Vegas I made my way to Orlando for a work conference. Although the conference was some what mentally exhausting the events our vendors threw for us was not and the food that I had was outstanding! Hope you enjoy the photos….

A Case of the Mondays on Tuesday

Does anyone else feel like time is flying by? It seems as soon as I get home it’s time to go to bed so that I can do it all over again the next day. I can’t seem to find the extra time these days. I cannot believe two weeks have passed since my last post! I cannot blame it all on time flying by though. I have been in a little funk lately and you know how they say misery loves company? Well, I didn’t want to bring anyone else down in that meantime. I started this blog as therapy for myself and hoped to make someone else’s day a little brighter as well…anyhoo, I’ve brushed the dirt off my shoulder, I’m rested, and I am ready to get my creative juices flowing again…stay tuned!

Serenity

I am all about progression in life. I am striving to be the best me that I can be. I have a plaque hanging on my wall in my home that I go to and meditate over every time I feel my little world is on a tilt. This little prayer alone is able to help put things back in perspective for me and thus, helps me to keep moving forward. You cannot have control over everything that goes on around you in life, but you do have control over how you choose to deal with these situations. So I always pray to God to grant me Serenity, Courage and Wisdom.

Las Vegas/Orlando Photo Diary Part I

So if you read my last post, you are aware that I was out a town for awhile. It consisted of a little bit of play and a little bit of work. First we will start with Las Vegas…which was all play. The family went there to celebrate my parents 42nd wedding anniversary! They have made me so proud. I wish I could post their 42nd wedding anniversary dance but they would kill me! Let’s just say what started out as Otis Redding turned into Jay Z and Kanye West without them knowing…lol! We took in a jazz concert and seriously ate way too much for our own good.

Those hands have shared 42 years of happiness, sorrow, blood, sweat, and tears. I admire them for holding hands the whole way through.

Weekend Wrap Up

I know it has been awhile since you all heard from me. I have just caught up on my rest after being away from home for more than a week and a half! I’ve been from Las Vegas to Orlando back to Las Vegas and finally home and I could not be happier. I have realized that I get homesick very quick. I still did not rest like I had planed to do when I got home. Too much to do! I threw a little shindig for Cinco de Mayo (any reason to sip on tequila count me in)! Sunday was a gorgeous day, so I decided to wrap up the weekend people watching at The Grove.

This seven layer dip was way too good and way too easy to make.
